Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress from the United States. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the end of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) as well as The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and claims she attends Passover seders.
